Pumice Pits

The pumice pits is a great place to ride that is close to Idaho Falls. There isn't really trails here but just a fun area to go out and play around. There is lots of hills to climb, whoops, jumps, berms, and just fun play around riding. We love to come up her after work or if we just have a couple of hours to kill. Its nice because its only about ten minutes from Idaho Falls. Be careful when you are riding here until you get used to the area because there is lots of cliffs and sudden drops that could be dangerous if you don't know where they are. We usually like to come out here when it is still too cold in the mountains because there is usually less snow. We just went today 3-9-13 and it was still a little too snow covered, probably another week or so and it will be great. If you are looking for some good climbs close to home this  is the place for you.

Here is the GPS to get to the pumice pits, if you need to download the gps file just click on the link above the map and it will take you to a site where you can download it. Enjoy!

Thanks for checking out Idaho Dirt Bike. Our goal for this site is to provide the best dirt bike trail source for Idaho. As we really started getting into dirt biking we looked and looked for sources for trail reviews, maps, directions, pictures, and info but found very little. After riding lots in 2012 we decided that we needed to put together this blog and become the source of information that we looked for. We hope that we can provide what people are wanting and that you will be patient because this will be a work in progress. We are all new to blogging and site building so if you have suggestions that will make the site more helpful please leave comments, this is for you and anything we can do to make it work for you we want to know about.
Our Pans:
The things that we will be adding to the site coming riding season 2013 will be videos, pictures, GPS coordinates, and of course lots more reviews. We will be adding reviews through this winter while waiting for riding season to come. These reviews wont have any pictures, video, or GPS at this time but  I promise they will get added in the spring. We are also working on getting some maps put together that we are going to sell, I am unsure when these will be ready but stay tuned. We want to make sure that you have all the information you need when riding and give you some great ideas on destination rides.
